The Ramapo Saints, NHL and USA Hockey Host Try Hockey For Free Day

Try Hockey For Free Day took place Saturday (Nov. 3) as part of the second annual Come Play Hockey Month. The Ramapo Saints and Sportorama joined Nearly 500 rinks across the country as they welcomed boys and girls, ages 4 to 9, to come to Sportorama and try youth hockey free of charge.

  

"Try Hockey For Free is the cornerstone of Come Play Hockey Month as we introduce the sport to thousands of children," said Pat Kelleher, assistant executive director of development for USA Hockey. "The initiative provides an opportunity to become active in hockey and hopefully spark a passion for the game."

  

Free equipment was provided for children attending Try Hockey For Free Day. No experience was required to participate. For those interested in future events please call 845-356-3919….
