Squirt White Champions Rochester Fall Classic

The Squirt White team headed to Rochester over the Columbus Day weekend and brought home the banner after an incredible weekend of hockey and camaraderie

The Championship game was a battle to the end with a 2-1 victory over the Cumberland Jr. Grads from Ottawa, Ontario.  Ahead by a score of 1-0 after a second period goal, the Grads tied the game with only 1 minute and 14 seconds left to play.  A five minute overtime surfaced no victor.  Moving into the shoot out, the Saints kept the standing room only crowd biting their nails to the very end -- Cumberland shoots first and is denied.  Saints shoot and are denied.  Cumberland shoots and is denied.  Saints shoot and find the back of the net (1-0).  Cumberland shoots and is denied.  Saints shoot and again find the back of the net (2-0).  Cumberland shoots for one (2-1).  Saints shoot and are denied.  Cumberland shoots and is denied...Saints win banner in a 2-1 shoot out victory!!  Congratulations to all the boys on a great tournament!
