Week two of The 2011 Ramapo Saints Skills Camps begins Monday. The Gary Hess directed camp is complete with off ice training and activities in addition to on ice sessions.

Ramapo Saint Youth Hockey is the largest organization in the New Jersey Youth Hockey League. Combine that with its rich 36 year history and you have the perfect place for skaters to develop his or her Game. For Saint Players the 2011 Summer Skills Camp Directed by Gary Hess is an opportunity to continue to soak up the knowledge Ramapo has to offer. Participate with the common goal to improve their game by tapping into the vast well of hockey knowledge that is Ramapo Youth Hockey!

Our philosophy is to get personal! Our Coaches focus on proper techniques in the skill areas of skating, stick handling, shooting and goaltending. Teaching specific techniques is critical to improving one’s ability to be competitive when it counts- in game situations. Each session instructors assess players individually & immediately correct improper techniques. A high coach to player ratio allows for maximum personal instruction.  Sessions are safe, fun, challenging and crafted to each player’s ability. Players can bring their lunch & snacks, take advantage of the meal plan or purchase items from the café. Some activities are at LifePlex Health Club which is located adjacent to the rink. Players are grouped by age. On ice, each age group is further defined by ability ensuring each player learns trains & competes at the correct skill level.
